Software Quality Specialist ( Mobile )

As a member of our team, you will help ensure that customers have a positive experience each time they use our application and that new features are working properly before being released. Qualified candidates should have experience with and be comfortable using both Android and iOS phones.  Candidates with strong technical skills - able to quickly learn debugging tools for Android and iOS platforms - may be preferred.  We are needing a Software Quality Specialist for our Outdoor team in Yarmouth, ME, to lead test activities related to new devices and features, and execute manual and automated tests in accordance with established testing protocols to ensure continued quality and compliance with the stated requirements.  QA associates work closely with Business Analysts, Software Engineers and other QA team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner. Depending on your experience, responsibilities can include creating new feature test plans, cases and/or assisting in test case maintenance as necessary to keep our repository current.  We are also constantly providing training and doing feature demonstrations for our internal customers. In this role you will be responsible for performing software test case development and testing activities for Garmin products in a team-oriented environment. Other essential functions include:  Developing and maintaining test cases as necessary per test process, methodologies used to include Functional, End to End and Validation testing Create test plans that are applicable to each release by working closely with product development teams to ensure quality and usability of Garmin products Execute test cases/scripts as identified per test process Analyze test results and users' feedback, and communicate with product development teams to assist in problem resolution Analyze test results (also comparing one build to another) to create periodic test reports per test process Participate in the definition of new or improvements of test processes Provide leadership on small to mid-sized projects with responsibilities that include test planning, test activity coordination and reporting test results to development teams Execute manual tests of Garmin software in accordance with established testing protocols to ensure quality and compliance with stated requirements. Perform other job related duties, as assigned. Verify issues reported to software quality team for validity and reproducibility. Assist in test case maintenance, as necessary, to keep repository current. Verify software fixes in new software releases. Interact with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner. Document and communicate test results in a defect tracking system. Qualifications   Qualified candidates possess an Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school or a minimum of 2 years' experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description. Other requirements include:  Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Must possess relevant experience and/or training creating test plans, conducting usability tests, and/or writing test scripts Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Previous work experience executing test cases and reporting results to a defect tracking system Experience with JIRA  Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision Experience and/or training in SQ processes and methodologies Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment ABachelor's of Science or ArtsDegree from a four-year college or university and previousexperience working in a team environment is highlypreferred! 18001IE

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
