Position Objective
Tyler Technologies is seeking applicants for the position of IT Helpdesk Specialist to provide remote IT support for client's mission critical financial server(s). This position, as part of Tyler's OS/DBA Support Team, will provide Tier I technical troubleshooting for our software clients' database and operating systems pertaining to Tyler's financial software . Candidates with strong customer service skills who have experience in system administration, IT helpdesk, and Microsoft SQL server are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and electronic requests from customer's technical staff regarding PC or Server problems with Tyler Technologies software applications
Primary areas of support include:
Remote IT application support of client's mission critical financial server(s)
Operating System administration for Microsoft Windows server
Database Administration for Microsoft SQL Server
Network & Local Printing
MUNIS program release and 3rd party software upgrades (as needed)
Point of Sale hardware configuration and troubleshooting
Late shift coverage (until 9:00 PM Eastern) on a rotation basis is required
Occasional weekend coverage may be required depending on client needs
Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience
Experience administering Windows and / or Linux servers
Working knowledge of server hardware and network configurations, including web servers
Ability to troubleshoot PC configurations and connectivity issues
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills required
Team work and excellent customer service skills required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
