Position Objective
Tyler Technologies is seeking a Technical Writer in Yarmouth. This position researches, creates, updates, and maintains clear, effective documentation that satisfies both internal and external customer needs.
Responsibilities
Document new and existing Tyler programs to meet new or revised specifications and/or technological advances.
Create and maintain online help from the initial stages to final compilation, and write release notes and special documents for software releases, system administration, or product application processes.
Research, create, and implement processes and procedures for the creation of online help, release notes, and special documents including format, design, and documentation standards.
Confer with senior department staff or development resources to develop an understanding of the intent and purpose of any program, enhancement, or change as needed.
Create and incorporate video tutorials into online help to illustrate commonly used or more complex procedures.
Prepare release notes, major enhancement documents, and other informational documents for internal and external Tyler product users.
Monitor documentation release schedules and ensure that all team members are aware of release dates and kept up to date on changes in schedules.
Adhere to and promote documentation style standards and release processes.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, conciseness, and usability of documentation through self-editing of technical content, proper English usage, page layout, and style.
Assist implementation and support staff by researching and documenting solutions to encountered issues.
Continuously research and present information on new developments in help authoring tools, help design and format, and effective use of help authoring and other documentation tools.
Facilitate communication between the documentation team and release management, sales, usability, and other groups within the company, as necessary, to ensure that the team's products and processes are meeting the needs of the company.
Assist with client and proposal questions as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field, or completion of technical writing or English courses, or comparable work experience.
At least two years of experience in technical writing, proofreading and editing, or equivalent education.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office products.
Proficiency in the use of help-authoring tools such as MadCap Flare(TM) or Adobe RoboHelp preferred.
Excellent communication skills and technical writing style.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
