IT Specialist, Disaster Recovery

Tyler is seeking an IT professional to serve as a Disaster Recovery Specialist who will manage Tyler software clients' Disaster Recovery transfers, ensuring that current data is available for use during a disaster. The incumbent is also the primary point of contact for all disaster recovery related questions and is responsible for maintaining a Tyler product- specific disaster recovery plan for each client. The incumbent will also assist with Business Continuity planning and maintenance for the SaaS hosting environments at the Tyler datacenters, and with monitoring and maintenance of backups and data replication for the hosting environments.

## Responsibilities
Monitor client data transfers to ensure the expected data is received and viable
Install and configure the software used for client data transfers at client sites
Maintain a disaster recovery plan for all disaster recovery (DR) clients
Coordinate DR testing per client request
Coordinate DR hosting during client disaster declaration
Monitor and maintain the Evault software needed for receiving client DR transfers and for SaaS operations backups (data vaults)
Configure and monitor backups and replication of Hosting Services servers and systems
Assist with changes to Hosting Services business continuity plans and maintain knowledge of same Assist with testing of Hosting Services business continuity plans and audit requirements
Develop and maintain documentation on disaster recovery and business continuity processes
## Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of PC and server operating systems (Windows required, Unix/Linux a plus)
Prior experience with shell scripting and/or programming
Prior experience with server troubleshooting and upkeep a plus
Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server required
Oracle database experience is a plus
Excellent customer service, organizational and communications skills
Experience with database import, export and backup practices
Familiarity with Virtualization Technologies a plus.
## Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
