Position Objective
Tyler Technologies has an immediate opening for a Release Engineer on our growing Software As A Service (SaaS) team. The Release Engineer is primarily responsible for installing and configuring ERP software in a hosted environment for clients who are migrating, upgrading or are new installations of Tyler's software. The Release engineer is also responsible for building servers (virtual machines), and developing tools to automate installation procedures.
Responsibilities
Install and upgrade client software application environments and databases
Assist with client migration needs and on-site data extraction
Provide telephone and email troubleshooting support for SaaS clients
Document client interactions and technical resolutions
Assist with system administration services across all operating system platforms
Configure and maintain printers and printer subsystems across all operating system platforms
Install and maintain all application software and required supporting software
Install, update and troubleshoot PC client software
Write and maintain operating system-level shell scripts
Assist with client backup verification and troubleshooting
Track client''s current versions and notify clients when they need to upgrade
Develop tools that will automate manual installation processes
Maintain and modify existing tools for automated installation processes
Create and modify technical documentation for installation procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience/certification
IT certifications such as MCP, Network
and/or CCENT a plus
Previous experience installing, configuring and supporting operating systems, PCs, printers and other hardware
Ability to work in a networked environment and an understanding of network principles and configuration including LAN, WAN and VPN
Technical experience with the following operating system level technologies is desired: VMware, Windows Server 2008/2012, SQL Server 2008/2012, and Active Directory
Coding experience with C# and/or PowerShell is preferred
Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced, technical environment
Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
The hours for this position are 3:30 p.m. - 12 midnight, Monday - Friday.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
